Rill Pendant

Rill Pendant captures the predictable and unpredictable nature of glass, as it is shaped by touch, breath and time. Light moves through the interior almost like water, creating a narrow current gathering and bending as it flows through the form. Each one holds a passage of light, shaped in the moment of its making. Each pendant is created in Alison Berger’s Los Angeles atelier, annealed for several days, and finished individually by hand.

The crystal in all of the Alison Berger Glassworks collection is hand blown. The process itself uses no molds or form constraints to shape the piece. Each fixture is a unique piece of functional art. The material qualities of this process will sometimes result in small air bubbles and actual tool marks, which are desirable evidence of the artisanal process.
