Interval Pendant

Interval Pendant captures the predictable and unpredictable nature of glass, as it is shaped by touch, breath and time. The relationship between two breaths of air is held within the glass. As they interlock, the illumination reveals the changing space between them. Each one captures a different moment between them. Each pendant is created in Alison Berger’s Los Angeles atelier, annealed for several days, and finished individually by hand.

The crystal in all of the Alison Berger Glassworks collection is hand blown. The process itself uses no molds or form constraints to shape the piece. Each fixture is a unique piece of functional art. The material qualities of this process will sometimes result in small air bubbles and actual tool marks, which are desirable evidence of the artisanal process.
