Carpenter’s Bench

Taking its inspiration from everyday objects, the Carpenter’s Bench is inspired by Tools of the Trade. This piece is reimagined with a cast glass slab and articulated steel base, resulting in a sculptural form with presence.

The crystal in all of the Alison Berger Glassworks collection is hand blown. The process itself uses no molds or form constraints to shape the piece. Each fixture is a unique piece of functional art. The material qualities of this process will sometimes result in small air bubbles and actual tool marks, which are desirable evidence of the artisanal process.
