Bow Chandelier

This chandelier captures the tension and dynamic motion of an arrow about to be released from a bow. A graduated series of five arcs create a delicate, mobile-like structure. The pendant itself has an alternating profile, appearing fully formed from one angle, and then disappearing to a slender edge from another, accentuating the gossamer quality of the composition. This chandelier, like all of Alison Berger’s designs, is blown in her Los Angeles atelier and annealed for several days before being finished by hand. Each is truly one of a kind.

The crystal in all of the Alison Berger Glassworks collection is hand blown. The process itself uses no molds or form constraints to shape the piece. Each fixture is a unique piece of functional art. The material qualities of this process will sometimes result in small air bubbles and actual tool marks, which are desirable evidence of the artisanal process.
